I hate to exclude anyone from anything, but this fixed gear shit has to stop. I am putting my foot down and for the record; the fixed gear bike needs to be gone. In an effort to return cycling back to people who like bikes from rejects from the rave scene, we on BMX Tuesdays (tm) will not allow fixed gear bikes to roll with us, you have enough of your own \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"fixed only\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" rides to go around so stuff it ok?
Now.
We ride every Tuesday at 7pm, be late, we leave you, learn how to tell time.
We keep a brisk pace. Not fast, but brisk. Most guys run 24 or 26 cruisers. We have a motto for BMX Tuesdays (tm): \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"One Man Left Behind\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" meaning if you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'re that fucking slow then we will ditch your ass. It’s not a race but the pace and distance can wear you out if you haven’t ridden since 1986…
Do not be a tard and not bring a tube and tools for your bike (Leo, are you reading this?), it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s ok to ride with a backpack, we all do. Do not let Mike patch your tube, he can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t fix a flat for shit. Reject the offer if it should occur.
We ride to a food stop and usually ride between 10 and 25 miles, weather and mood of the group being the dictator of the distance. We don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t go to bars, nor do we stop at a 7-11 so you can get your drink on. This is not a party ride, it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s a ride ride. Some places we go serve beer, we’re not against it, we are just not riding for the sake of drinking, we’re riding for the sake of riding, an unusual concept as of late in the LA “bike scene”. Phooey.
Don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t show up if you can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t take a few off color jokes, we say awful things to each other but like life, it\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s all in jest. We kid.
We have no set route, no ride leader, no spoke cards, we do however have a t-shirt of you want one. One of our members decided we needed a shirt, he sells them for 15 bucks. No, we are not \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"selling out\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\". 15 bucks does not buy you a house in the hills, get real.
You may be thinking, “Where’s the fun?” The fun is between your legs. Now, lighten up and come on out for a good time.
Rain cancels.
