LIVE SEA URCHIN XLII season kickoff ride hollywood>redondo>hollywood 40 miles, daytime

Hello Friends,

I think its the right time of the year to kick off the XVII anniversary season of the

LIVE SEA URCHIN RIDE . (thats 17 years, not 17 editions) one of the longest running rides in Los Angeles.

This ride started in 1994, and has continued sporadically since then, always multiple times per year, open to all

Meet at Ballona Creek Bridge in Playa del Rey at 1pm, this coming Sunday Feb 13th.

We ride down to Quality seafood at the base of the Redondo Pier, eat seafood , drink beer, maybe hit Naja's, hit the raft, chill out, enjoy life,

then ride back to our starting destination.

Quality seafood has all sorts of the oceans bounty (including hard to find east coast seafood), so if thats your thing, this may be a good

ride. Vegetarians/Vegans will find food as well, although it is a seafood restaurant...

Its 40 miles round trip from Hollywood, 46 round trip from echo park, maybe 27 from Santa Monica

medium pace, not a race, bring a decent bike and you will be OK,

preliminary meeting spot is NOON at the donut shop on LaBrea/Olympic. Let me know if you would like to meet there

we can sort out an 11:30 meet in Echo Park on request.
