The Hat Ride and Pastrami-Palooza from DMSR: Meet at 830 in Pasadena, Roll at 900
01.20.11
The Hat Ride and Pastrami-Palazoo (Wear a hat and ride and eat pastrami at the Hat)
At DMSR, we like to keep our rides interesting. Hank wanted to do a nude ride around the Los Angeles greater metropolitan area. The rest of us, however, feared arrest and, well, just weren’t as comfortable around the pokey as Captain Hanktastic. So . . . cigarettes as currency and making shivs from Pepsi cans will have to wait. Instead, this ride’s going to be simple but profound and function without the likes of Bubba. We’re going to wear hats, preferably those of an interesting ilk. Don your fedora, coonskin cap, turban, or a halo if’n you’re some kind of urban cherub. Wrap your head in something funky. Your mama’s peacock hat if needed. Solid.
DMSR’s Hat Ride will feature a special treat. Since we’re in the midst of a heat wave, we’re bound to sweat a lot. And there’s no better way to replace lost electrolytes than a Pastrami dip from the Hat. We’ll be hitting up the original Hat in Alhambra where it rains pastrami and sweats au jus. This sultry house of salt-cured beef offers more. Those with guts made of Kevlar and nads hard as diamonds may want to opt for gravy or chili cheese fries. Get ready to eat with vigor, but also caution. Tonight’s culinary ecstasy can spell tomorrow’s gastrointestinal hangover. The AM red rocket may seek its egress without apology. That said, life is short so come and ride and live high on the heifer. It’s the Pastrami-Palooza and Hat Ride from DMSR.
