Labor Day: Mt. Baldy Ride

Ride leaves from Encanto Park at 8:00am. We're going to leave on time, so if you want to join us get there around 7:30 or 7:45am.

Encanto Park is in Azusa off the 210 Freeway. I think the easiest way is exiting Mountain, making a left (North) and then a left on Huntington (East) Make a left on Encanto Parkway and look for us in the parking lot.

Here's the lowdown: We leave from the park and make our way to Glendora Mountain Rd. We'll climb Glendora Rd. until we hit Baldy Village. From Baldy Village, we'll climb to the ski lifts. You'll need a geared bike for this ride. If anyone can do it on a fixie, I will worship them for the rest of my life (and I mean that)

It's gonna be pretty hot Monday, so bring two bottles on your bike and as much water as you can carry elsewhere. The ride is somethere in the neighborhood of 75 miles round trip. We'll eat at Baldy Village before we head home, so bring some money.

And by the way, this ride is in no way affiliated with Team Bearclaw, it just so happens that I am posting from this username. Yes, some Team Bearclaw members will be there, but that has nothing to do with anything.
