“Who’s Got a Light?” Ride
This is a medium-paced ride through MIRACLE MILE, MACARTHUR PARK, and DOWNTOWN that
passes some of L.A.’s luminous sites.
When: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2010
MEET at 6PM
RIDE at 6:30PM
Meet:
the Urban Light sculpture at
LACMA
5905 Wilshire Blvd
Los Angeles 90036
(the one with all the streetlamps on the north side of Wilshire)
All bikes welcome (road, fixed, hybrid, mountain, bmx, cruiser), but we will keep a steady pace for 10-
12 miles with no official stops.
WE'LL LEAVE AT LACMA AT 6:30PM, BUT JOIN OR LEAVE ANYTIME
We’ll go from LACMA to L.A. Live/Nokia Theater downtown and spots in between and then end at S1F
art gallery in MacArthur Park, as this ride is part of their exhibition I have a light.
Free drinks and perhaps even snacks at the gallery, and we may hit a bar afterward.
No riders left behind – one of us, or a another fellow rider, will help with repairs. We’ll all help call out hazards.
It's a nighttime ride so be sure to BRING LIGHTS (front & back).
Also consider tubes, patches, tools, pumps, water, snacks, lock, and whatever else

ROUTE:
From LACMA
East on Wilshire to Curson, north to 6th, east to La Brea, north to 4th, east to Oxford, south to 7th, east to Mariposa, south on Mariposa to 8th, east to Catalina, north to 7th, east to Park View, north to 6th, east to Valencia, south to Wilshire, west to Union, south to Pico, east to Nokia Theater (up Figueroa).
If people want to go back to LACMA, some may ride Venice back west to Cochran, north to 8th, west to Spaulding, north to LACMA
If other people want to go back to the gallery, we’ll ride Pico back to Union, north to 7th, and west to Park View
