Back in the DMSSR : Pasadena to West Hollywood . . . Soviet style, 7:30P Meet, 8 Roll
11.6.10
Well, the Ukraine girls really knock me out
They leave the west behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout . . .
I'm back in the DMSSR
You don't know how lucky you are, boys
Back in the DMSSR
Hey, Lenin! Quit Stalin! Join the DMSR riders of the Pasadena greater metropolitan area on Sat Nov 6th as we head to Stolichnaya Bakery in West Hollywood. It's starting to get frigid so why not take a trip down memory lane and celebrate the nostalgia of the Cold War. Remember the Cold War? Regan vs. Gorbachev, Rocky Balboa vs Ivan Drago? If you ride a fixie, this may be before your time, but we welcome you with open arms.
In any case, this is a theme ride so wear something that has a Soviet flavor: red, olive drab, babushka, big ups to the chap or lady who rocks a Stalinesque mustache. If, however, you love freedom, go ahead and rock your favorite American bourgeoisie garb, a tie, t-shirt with Team USA. Use your imagination. Be clever but classy.
