Bradley and the Good Folks at 1830 Sunset are projecting another obscure classic for Tuesday nights
rooftop movie. L'Eclisse by MIchelangelo Antonioni is this week's pick. And if you think your love life in LA is
bad get a load of what the synopsys from the Criterion Collection website has to say about this love triangle:
"The conclusion of Michelangelo Antonioni’s informal trilogy on modern malaise, L’eclisse (The Eclipse)
tells the story of a young woman (Monica Vitti) who leaves one lover (Francisco Rabal) only to drift into a
relationship with another (Alain Delon). Using the architecture of Rome as a backdrop for the couple’s
doomed affair, Antonioni reaches the apotheosis of his modernist style, returning to his favorite themes:
alienation and the difficulty of finding connections in an increasingly mechanized
world."
Cycle out to see this beautifully filmed Italian flick with a backdrop of the modern skyline of Los
Angeles.
Movie starts at 9ish, $2 entrance to the rooftop, bring your wheels to the second floor. $1 beer and $2
wine or bring your own. Bring warm clothing or anything else to make yourself comfortable as it may get
chilly.
