Los Angeles Critical Mass rides through the city of Los Angeles, exerting our right under California Law to ride bicycles on the street.
This month we welcome the officers of LAPD, who will be riding with us.
So here are the LAPD/LACM ride guidelines::
Bring lights! A rear red blinking light and a front white flashing light. You can get these lights at the 99 cent store.
Bring brakes! At least one front or back brake.
If you are under 18 yrs old, you must wear a helmet.
The ride will not run red lights or stop signs.
There will be regroup stops (Donut shops, etc)
Bicycles will truly be traffic, following the same rules as cars.
Local and National Media will be there in force, so try and look good.
No tagging, stealing, or drinking alcohol. (Everyone can get together afterward for a drink and discussion)
This is a easy-paced ride.
Fixed-gear riders make sure you have one brake
LAPD says they will be on the ride to support the ride.
This will be an Epic LA Critical Mass.
