MEET IN PAN PACIFIC PARK, BY THE PLAYGROUND AND COVERED EATING TABLES

YES, THE RIDE ENDS BACK AT PAN PACIFIC PARK

one may wonder, what exactly is the new ride? what's so new about it? what makes this ride so special that I should come to it? what's new about the new ride is new destinations. new streets. new neighborhoods. and new parks. every new ride you'll first find yourself riding down a major boulevard then BAM you turn on a neighborhood street with incredible mansions then out of nowhere youre smashing down a crazy hill at 45 mph and before you know it you're hiking with your bike with everyone to the top of a mountain where you get the most incredible view of this fine city. then again you're coasting down hills and riding on little walkways in between freeways and bike paths and riding around lakes and canals taking every interesting pathway there possibly could be until you pay attention and realize you're already back to the start point.

the NEW ride is a party/adventure hybrid ride


If you like to party it up on rides but also like to do some REAL riding to awesome destinations that you've probably never been to before, then roll with the NEW ride. This Type F route has a fair amount of climbing, but we ride medium to party paced, so it will be easy to keep up. Any huge hills will be walked and the ride stops at the top of all hills to make sure no rider gets left behind. i will stop and regroup for stragglers or flats whenever necessary. Brakes + Gears are recommended for this ride, however, any type of bike will be able to make it (except for single speed brakeless --we will have to ask you to leave the ride)

THIS RIDE IS A PARTY RIDE, we will have at least one liquor stop, and we are completely 4:20 friendly. We're going to incredible spots to kick it and drink and smoke. then we ride off again into the night. i route us on more neighborhood streets than boulevards... less cars and new sights. although there is some of both.
also, PLEASE dont race ahead of the leader, when this happens turns are always overshot and people go the wrong way, splitting the ride. I try to set a medium pace for the slower people and when you speed ahead everyone loses

THE FRANKLIN CANYON MOSEY

THIS WEEK WE RIDE TO FRANKLIN CANYON. Franklin Canyon is a medium-sized, secluded canyon just north of Beverly Hills that is completely open as a nature-filled parkland with rivers, streams, lakes, incredible views, awesomely fun downhills, no cars, and no housing development. We'll ride straight from the start at Pan Pacific to the bottom of the canyon at a fair pace (about 4-5 miles at about 10-13 mph, not too fast at all), and then once we enter the canyon and parkland (where most of the climbing is) we'll ride at a mosey pace, stopping frequently to check out different parts of the park, hang out, and socialize. Once we reach the top of the canyon, we get to ride an awesome downhill that lasts about 5-10 minutes with no stopping or big curves to make us need to slow down for any reason. The ride will conclude with incredible mexican food at Benito's Tacos on Beverly Blvd. and Fairfax Ave.!

ONLY 16 miles in total! Even though there will be some physical exertion with the climbing, the total distance is short, and we're gonna ride chill paced so don't worry about the hills! WE RIDE TONIGHT TO PARTY!
bring your tools, lights, tubes, beers, blunts, and buds! get ready to party and do a fun ride!


PLEASE BRING A BIKE THAT HAS SOME WAY OF STOPPING, WHETHER IT BE BRAKES OR SKIDDING ON A FIXIE. RIDING FREEWHEEL WITHOUT BRAKES IS RETARDED AND IT ENDANGERS NOT ONLY YOU BUT THE PEOPLE WHO RIDE AROUND YOU. YOU WILL NOT BE WELCOME ON THE RIDE IF YOU COME LIKE THIS.
LIGHTS ARE ALSO VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS THEY ARE HOW WE SEE YOU IF YOU ARE STRAGGLING ON THE RIDE. THIS WAY WE CAN REGROUP FOR YOU. THEY ALSO ALLOW YOU TO SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING IN DARK PASSAGES, MAKE POTHOLES AND OTHER OBSTRUCTIONS MORE VISIBLE, AND PREVENT TROUBLE WITH THE LAW.
Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, PLEASE wear a helmet. This isn't required but accidents happen all the time and if you have one on our ride we cant be held responsible for a head injury resulting from not wearing protection. We ride on some pretty dark roads and you don't foresee a fatal accident. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU THINK YOU'D LOOK STUPID. WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE A LIFE OR LOOK DIFFERENT? It's your call.
NO STEALING,TAGGING, OR OTHER BULLSHIT ON THIS RIDE. WE LIKE TO HAVE FUN BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHERS
