CARS INTO BICYCLES

a 504hours life performance in the public/civic space of Los Angeles

by Koebberling & Kaltwasser and students of the Art Center College of Design

from March 20th until April 10

Bergamot Station, 2525 Michigan Avenue,

An old car will be converted into two fully operational bicycles during the course of a three-week performance at Bergamot station in Santa Monica.

The artists Folke Koebberling and Martin Kaltwasser from Berlin/Germany together with students of the Art Center College of Design occupy several parking spaces and temporarily turn them into an outdoor car-dismantling and bike-constructing workshop. When the bikes are ready everybody is invited to make a ride on the carcycles.

Visitors are welcome to view the progress and to ride the bikes on April, 10th
