LE TOUR DE SUNSET BOULEVARD

Sunset Blvd. is one of the most historic and important roadways in Los Angeles. The communities of Echo Park, Silver lake, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills, Bel-Air, Brentwood, and Pacific Palisades are all centered on and around Sunset Blvd. It is constantly considered to be one of the most fun streets in Los Angeles to bicycle - from the fun inclines/declines and bike lane in Echo Park/Silver lake, to the crazy lights and happenings always going on down in Hollywood and on the Sunset Strip, to the huge downhill and uphill roller coaster with luxurious mansions everywhere that is Sunset Blvd. from Bel-Air to the Beach. And on this Thursday evening, we'll be bicycling the entire length of it -- from it's beginning at Figueroa St. in Downtown LA, through all 24 miles of rolling hills and freaking awesomeness to PCH at the beach.
We will be making several stops, wherever and whenever we feel like stopping to enjoy a nice park or scenery near the blvd, and maybe a quick drink or smoke (options include echo park, barnsdall park, Will Rogers Park, Barrington Recreation Center, Palisades park, etc.) We will have store stops whenever necessary, are 4:20 and alcohol friendly (as long as you have self control, and I am serious about this), and are riding at a medium pace. I ride a mountain bike, so dont get the idea that this is a hustle. This will be a fun and exhilarating adventure yet at the same time still be a chill party group having fun all night :] When we get to the beach, there is a special stop planned on a cliff over the ocean in Pacific Palisades. From there, we'll ride all the way downhill to the beach, and ride down the beach to venice, where we'll cut back up the ballona creek bike path back east towards home, where we'll all break off at some point to our humble abodes.
this ride is not for beginner/weak riders. there are inclines, and while we'll give you all the time you'll need to climb every one, if you are the kind of person that needs to walk every hill, you wont be able to survive this ride. However, we encourage all adventurous persons to try out this ride for some fun anyway.

seriously, if you want to come on this ride but the hours dont necessarily work for you, call me! i'll even be willing to wait at the start an extra half hour if i should get the call asking. i'd love to have every possible person come that wants to enjoy this!
