a spare tube, tire levers, pump, patch kit...

a bike in working condition

a fixed cog or a brake (if you have a brakeless singlespeed, you will crash on this ride.)

friendliness

and please consider wearing a helmet.

Ride to impress.

Bring a bike in good condition.

Know the laws and rules of the road and be prepared to stretch them to their logical breaking point.
