WHAT: Southbay Cruiser Ride to watch the ACDG Roller Derby Double Header:
Hollywood Scarlets vs. Oly Rollers
San Diego Wildfires vs Bay Area Derby Girls
WHEN: Sat, August 15th, 2009
Meet at 4:45; ride at 5:00PM SHARP
First Game Starts at 6:30PM
WHERE: We will meet at the Whole Foods/Pitcher House Parking Lot (409 Pacific Coast Highway,
Redondo Beach- corner of Beryl and
PCH in Redondo)
We will ride from the Whole Foods parking lot to the game at the Toyota Center in El Segundo. We've
done many Roller Derby rides in the
past. They are alot of fun, and the route we've mapped out is very bike friendly taking us partly along
the Southbay Bicycle Path, partly
through Manhattan Beach neigborhoods, as well as industrial sections of El Segundo. This ride takes
us through our 'Roller Coaster' tunnel
under the the Nash Street Green Line station-lots of FUN! The ride is about 7 miles each way, mostly
flat)
WHAT TO BRING: A LOCK FOR YOUR BIKE AND A LIGHT-you will need to lock your bike up at the
Toyota Center. You will see all types
ranging from families with kids, to those with all kinds of crazy costumes. Come as you are or dress up
derby style...it's up to you.
THE RIDE, AS ALWAYS, IS FREE. THE GAME IS NOT. You will need a ticket. We have a limited
number of discounted paper tickets that
can be purchased on the day of the game for $18 (send a request to info@southbaycruisers.com if
