Rogue Street Riders #4 - Top O' Topanga

GATHER TIME: 7:30 pm
RIDE AT: 8:00 pm
START LOCATION: Canoga Ave. Orange Line Bus Station
Approximately a 3.5hr. recreational ride in the evening starting from the Canoga Ave. Orange Line Bus Station in the San Fernando Valley. This will be the fourth in an ongoing series of rides by the Rogue Street Riders highlighting various routes within The Valley. This is not a race, or training ride in any sense, but this one does have bit of a climb over the first 5 miles or so. Because of the climb, at one point in the ride we will be splitting into two groups. One group will take the steep route, and the other group will take the moderate route, and we will meet up right after. Also, if you're worried about not being able to get up the hill, just give it a shot. We are riding to the top and then coming back down the way we came, so we can pick you up on the way down and then continue on the ride. The hill is only a 2 mile section of the ride.

We'll meet at 7:30pm and rollout at approximately 8pm and return to the station by around 11:30pm.

Lights (front and back) are mandatory on this ride since Topanga is a dark and winding 2 lane road. We also highly recommend helmets.

The Canoga Ave. Orange Line Station is a Park and Ride, so if you would prefer to drive to the starting point, you can leave your car in the parking lot for free.

***Please Note: If you are planning on taking the Red Line and are unable to bring your bike on the train (bikes are not allowed on the Red Line until after 6:30pm between Union Station and Wilshire/Vermont but are allowed on the Red Line at any time between Wilshire/Vermont and North Hollywood), you can take an earlier (and faster) MetroLink from Union Station to Downtown Burbank. From the Downtown Burbank MetroLink station, bike down the the Chandler bike path to the Orange Line (approximately a 5 mile bike ride), and take the Orange Line to the Canoga Ave. Orange Line Station.
