♪ ♪ RIDE TO MOCA ENGAGEMENT PARTY♪ ♪

This is a ride to MOCA's monthly event, ENGAGEMENT PARTY. ENGAGEMENT
PARTY is a series of interventions by local artist collectives the 1st Thursday of
every month.

This month the visual artist collective OJO presents "Interactive Lecture Series".

For the final event of their three-month Engagement Party residency, OJO, along with special guests as well as members of the audience, will create an abnormal lecture experience. Interactive Lecture Series will take place at MOCA Grand Avenue in the Ahmanson Auditorium on Thursday, August 6, 2009, from 7 to 10pm. This performance will consist of a series of lectures, each of which will act as a musical score, with the speaker, audience, space, and environment functioning as compositional elements. As talks are presented on various topics, members of OJO will take up position beside the lectern as the house band, using audio trickery to affect the audienceâ€™s reception of live speech. Focusing on specific words and phrases in order to induce listeners to react in all sorts of ways, their interventions should lead to chaotic and memorable lectures. Cash bar. This event is FREE and open to the public. No reservations are required.

Meet at Media Park in downtown Culver City (Canfield Ave. & Venice Blvd.) at 5pm.

Ride out at 6pm.

New and improved route for all of yous who may not like the climb at 2nd St. or the gentler but still haul worthy climb up 1st.

After the event I'll be heading up to ~~the Good Nite Bar~~ Que Ricos to rendezvous with the nice ladies from the Valley Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Ride (formerly the Valley Girl Ride) and get some ~~dance on~~ eat onâ„¢. If you're coming with, bring fare for the Red Line.
