Ridazz. Things have gone too far. In the last year we've seen riders essentially left for DEAD on the streets. It seems to be happening more frequently and it's disgusting. Cowards roam our streets and it's time to ratchet up the noise. ONE OF US could potentially die tomorrow under the wheels of a careless and often times ruthless driver. It's time to start doing something to spread the word that we are here and we are people too. It's time to ride with a more focused approach to community awareness and safety regarding bicycles.


Wear bright clothes.



This isn't about screaming at cars. This isn't about demonizing drivers. This isn't a protest against our friends from the LAPD who are out there doing what they can with the little resources that they are given by a strained tax system. We are here to assist our friends in cars in just taking a little extra care in watching for us as cyclists. Our reminders come in the forms of SMILES and personal invites. We are INVITING ALL the MOTORISTS we encounter to roll with us notice us and to sympathize with us about what it's like to be struck down and left for DEAD.



This ride will send us on a very serious tour of some of the recent hit and run incidents in the Los Angeles area. We are going to commemorate them with signage that YOU all create. Use cardboard, use ink, use stencils on cardboard. (NO ILLEGAL VANDALISM) only signage afixed with temporary means like ropes bungee cords and wire. It doesnt have to be big - a thousand small signs will get the point across.... we just need to leave something behind at each incident location that will commemorate our fallen comrades and shame those that left them for DEAD in the streets. We are reaching out to the 90% of our friends in cars that have integrity to stop and see if a fallen rider is ok.



Bring signs



Bring signs with friendly reminders that we are members of the community. We work at your local grocery stores we serve drinks at the local bars, we work the clothing stores, we sell real estate, we are friends and neighbors and we number in the thousands. BE Creative and be prepared to leave them on the sites we will be touring.



Let's get the word out. Let's make this one count. Let's remember those that have fallen. Let's tip our hats to those that have tried to help. Let's continue to Ride On in SAFETY. Let's ride to bring light to the madness!
