Bringing Morningz Back: Ten Bridges Replay

Some of you might remember the IAALâ€¢MAF's "Ten Bridges" ride from about a year and a half ago, but then again some of you can't remember your phone number or your momz' birthday so that may be asking too much. If so, my bad and here's a brief refresher.

The "Ten Bridges" ride was just that: a ride over ten of the L.A. River's bridges: Washington Boulevard, Olympic Boulevard, 7th Street, 6th Street, 4th Street, 1st street, Cesar Chavez, Main Street, Spring Street and Broadway. If you went on it you know it rocked, and the name Merrill Butler (who designed and built most of the spans) might still be ringing in your ears given how many times I gave him an amplified shout-out during the trek.

Anyway, because I need to ride somewhere this Saturday I decided why not dust off this ready-to-roll bridge-tacular, so it's happening May 16. We might even add access to the river bed via the access tunnel under the 6th Street Bridge ONLY if it's not too sketchily populated with murdering crackhead fiends upon arrival.

Just like last Saturday morning's ride, it will gather at Silversun Plaza (Sunset Boulevard and Parkman in Silver Lake) and roll out promptly at the Ultra Ultra After Hours (credit branding master Roadblock with that phrase) time of 7:30 a.m. That's right: Seven Fucking Thirty in the A to the M. Most of you will be sleeping in, but if you've been longing to lay claim to the unique honor of riding your bike over ten viaducts in one trip, now's your chance.
