WEST LA QUICKIE - nostromo ride

This is a quasi-hustle ride. Hills. Sweating. Few stops. 20-30 miles.

Many will start. Few will finish. The theme os this ride is Ripley. Most will go the way of Ash, Parker and Dallas. Last week there was a Newt, Bishop AND Ripley (a first for this weekly ride). Though the pack thins the ride continues until the final push. When, at midnight-ish, the ride arrives back at the meet point there will only be a very few (if the pattern follows) and those few will partake in a series of royal high-fives (no escape shuttles for us).

I would recommend that those engaging in quickiness eat and sleep as much as possible Thursday and Friday as this has been, so far, a somewhat Rough And Tumble ride. Indeed I, myself, had a bit of a hamstring incident on last week's ride (I ought to stretch, I suppose). So, with that in mind I'll try not to be too much of a ham on this week's ride and we shall, en masse, sally forth into the wild purple/ornage yonder of the Los Angeles evening streets.
