Hey Riders!

I'm Mad Dog (the guy on the AIDS/Lifecycle poster). I would like to share an experience with you all. I rolled down to San Deigo on Christmas Day and it was a blast. I thought this would be a great ALC training ride. I have a really cool route. I parked my car at the Amtrak station downtown (union Station), hopped on my bike rolled down the coast had dinner with freinds and hopped on the train back. It was about 121 miles to the Amtrak station in Sandy Eggo

We roll out at 7 am.

I've made arrangements to shower at the 24 Hour fitness club 1/2 mile from the train station. I'll will bring your change of clothes to San diego. I'll send a (very) detailed, laminated route slip, silicon bracelet (RIDE. EAT. SLEEP. REPEAT.) and a bike chain bracelet to those that make a $100 contribution to my site. rider #3022. It's going to be a blast! I will include a list of bike shops along the route and will be driving the course ahead of you. If you break down you can call me and I can give you and your rig a ride to help. I'll also give you a list of Amtrak stations along the route if you need to chicken out. I will arrange two water and gatoraide stops, 1 before lunch and one after lunch. I will set up a lunch stop at either Pendleton or the OLD P.C.H lot. It's really not that hard of a ride if you think about it like; 30 miles to Starbucks - 30 miles to lunch - 30 miles to Starbucks - 30 miles to shower, dinner and rest. Details to follow. RIDE. EAT. SLEEP. REPEAT. This will be an unforgettable experience.

The Route Will Be Marked.



Your $100 gets you: Laminated Route Slip. Energy drink at the begining of the ride. Two support stops (Water, Gatoraide Banana). Lunch. Recovery Drink at end of ride. Shower facility at end of ride compliments of 24 hour Fitness. Fun.



Does NOT include Train ticket back to Los Angeles or Parking at Amtrak.
