A LIL BIT A SOMETHIN'
SATURDAY
START TIME: 7pm
A group of friends that organized in Nov. '08 to recycle and restore used bikes to "like-new" condition and donate them along with a new helmet to individual underprivileged and/or abused children and organizations that provide shelter and support to such children.
Our process consists of stripping the old bikes and powder coating the frames and forks.
Through collaborations with various artists we custom design the bike and helmet artwork so that each bike/helmet is unique and thus re-invented. Bikes will have new components that pertain to safety, such as brakes, wheels, tires, pedals and grips. We will also assemble completely recycled bikes with anything we don't use in this process and donate them to homeless individuals and organizations that support them.
Our purpose is environmental conservation by inspiring the youth to think creatively while working with what we already have and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle through bicycle culture.
Please join us for this benefit event to support the growth of this organization
and help us accomplish our goals of serving the community and our collective future.
