Hi, every once in a while we head to Downey to the abondoned Rancho Los Amigos Rehab Center. They have since built a new facility on the other side of Imperial Highway, but for some reason have opted to leave the old buildings to fend for themselves for a couple decades now. It looks like something out of the "Children of the Corn" but has its own sense of beauty. Old brick buildings, firedamge, rusty nails, pools of water on shag carpeting, pentegrams on the wall, old patient files scattered, viles of blood, activates the imagination in an X-Files sort of way.

Though a short ride (25 miles round trip), we will make a liquor store stop to purchase some spirits to take with us to the abondoned center.

Meet at Mimo's Cafe in Uptown. 6735 Greenleaf Ave. Whittier, CA.

Please, if someone gets a flat, speak up! We'll stop 'till we're all gathered and ready.

Please, Fixed and Road Bikes preferred.

Rain always cancels but we'll still meet up at the same time and drink at The 6740.
