City Slickers' to the Southeast Ride

Main Details:



Ride starts in the parking lot closest to the street in front of La Curacao in Huntington Park [5980 Pacific Blvd., Huntington Park, Ca 90255]. Meet up around 8:20PM. We will ride out no earlier than 8:45PM but before 9:00PM sharp!!



I have ridden the route and this should be a Slow (not turtles pace) to Medium speed ride with a small Sprint in between... If all the riders who show up aren't super beginners, then we might either detour a bit, or chill at the stops a little longer!



There is a 7-11 and a CVS down the street for those of you interested that want to stock up before the ride starts!



Rant:



Welcome all to the City Slickers' to the Southeast Ride!

We will be begin this trip heading south on Pacific Blvd., heading to Florence Ave. and navigating our way through Bell, Downey and Norwalk on the way to the Southeast! This is uncharted territory (we think!?) where talking about here; So be prepared for the unexpected!! Bring yourself and a friend, water, REAR and FRONT lights please (as we are ridding in the night!), tubes and whatever other accessories you might need!



We have a route, but as always, you can make any suggestions on the forums or on the ride (you can also email me! see below), or the route can change unexpectedly! But please feel free to suggest some sights, as we don't know the area all that much, and we would like to stop at some great spots!!



This is a ride ride, so there will be limited stops; But everyone is still encouraged to ride!! Come on folks! It will be great!!



Notes:



We will try (because we don't know how long we will take) to end the ride at or around the Norwalk Metro Green Line Station before 10:50. So that those riding the train have at least 3 opportunities to make it to the Blue Line Connection that go both ways!!



We will try to accomodate all those that will be going if you contact us before time! ALso, some of us will be ridding back so!!!



- For those riding the train, you can get to the ride by taking the Blue Line to the Slauson Station, and ridding about a mile east!
