Visit the Friends of the Los Angeles River web site
"See where the Arroyo Calabasas and Bell Creek come together to form the Los Angeles River. In the city of L.A.’s L.A. River Revitalization Master plan, the site is targeted for extensive restoration."
The FOLAR walk will meet at 3:30pm at the Owensmouth Ave. Bridge over the L.A. River, located just south of Bassett Street in Canoga Park.
BUT, the bike ride begins at Victory Blvd. and Woodley Ave, we'll ride through Balboa Park and along the Orange Line Bike Path over to the FOLAR river walk.
Meet up at 1:30pm and roll out at 2pm. Bring your family and friends for a nice afternoon bike ride.
This bike ride has no affiliation whatsoever with the "Friends of the Los Angeles River" organisation. It just seemed like a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Also, FOLAR would sincerely appreciate receiving a $5 donation to support their efforts, but its not required. Please give your donation to the FOLAR representative.
