Join us for the ride on Sunday, November 2 @ 5pm at SiteLA! After the ride, we will have a vigil to remember the lives that have been lost due to femicide.
Please bring any clothing (men, women, children) for donations. We will be sending them to Casa Amiga, the ONLY shelter that exists in Juarez, Mexico. And, if you're able, Casa Amiga is also asking for office supply donations, specifically paper and pens.
We are riding to remember those who lost their lives and to raise awareness about femicide (or the killing of women) that has been occurring in Juarez, Mexico since 1993 and in Guatemala. Hundreds of women have been killed since the signing of the NAFTA agreement.
You can also Google and/or YouTube "femicide" and you'll find tons of information that will definitely open your eyes to this insane phenomenon that is going on just a few hundred miles southeast of us...
