LA Ride

We have resolved to arrange the cycling public into a ride. Cambridge is small, the roads are full of cars, and the nights are long. The bicycles want to get out more, parade proud and loud. Meet in the Underground Roundabout Newmarket Rd /East Rd at 9pm

This is a social ride for all ages and all abilities. No racing, just taking back the street. They call it social ride. In truth this is about giving the cyclist the rare experience of being together, and being the king of the road.

Come as a group, and meet another, or come single, and keep the windows down. Bring your best bike in Sunday gear, with lamps, decoration and bells, whistles and horns and celebrate the cycling. Calling all velicopeds: Tandems, horizontal dropouts, and of course the unkempt Cambridge bike making funny noises with every Revolution.

We ride loud and openly to so that the group grows on the road. The route is central, for high visibility and better impact. Allora, a kind of un-scripted street theatre.

The route is open. There is always the Ring Road to begin, and other main mean streets, and not to forget those spots were taxis may have waited, for too long, for a group of cyclists to meet them.
