Los Angeles Critical Mass , Meet 6:30 pm, Ride 7:30pm sharp!

Meet at 6:30pm. Ride at 7:30pm sharp!



This LA Critical Mass ride will take us through East Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Echo Park, Thai town, Little Armenia and through the 2nd street tunnel into downtown LA.



The naysayers be damned! LACM has evolved into a ride that has incorporated Midnight Ridazz and Sins and Sprockets techniques. There will be a tentative route. There will be riders keeping people to the right, keeping the group together, slowing down the racers, and trying to educate drivers rather than aggravate them. If you want the angry and agro Critical Mass ride go to San Francisco or New York. We are LA, we are different.

The entire ride will be in city of Los Angeles, we will not spend money or travel through West Hollywood or any other bicycle unfriendly city.



First stop will be near mile four,

This is the LA Critical Mass and it takes place in Los Angeles. Not San Francisco or New York. Our city is big and most people who ride with LA Critical Mass don't travel the streets on a bike. So in the spirit of making changes that benefit the ride, we have created a tentative route, with posted stop locations. This is to aid the new riders and those who are unfamiliar with the terrain and territory. We prefer to keep our ride united and together, so that we can experience the fun and the exhilaration of riding on the streets of Los Angeles as a group.


Many of the "core elite" will be participating in LA Critical Mass. They will be guiding the group through the streets. Sometimes we may stop for red lights, to let the group catch up. Sometimes we may ride in the right lane to allow cars to pass. Again the more experienced riders will come to the aid of the first-timers and the inexperienced. We do not want to antagonize the drivers, we want to educate them. So feel free to explain to them how riding a bicycle not only saves the environment but saves gas and money.

This is a slow, easy-paced ride. Periodically some of the riders will yell up ahead to "slow down". We must keep the group together. There is power in numbers and our objective is a "show of force" in the streets. We also must take care of each other. The asphalt of Los Angeles can be mean to a bicyclist, we endeavor to change that. Please help us with your cooperation and assistance.


Bring your bells, whistles, horns and noise makers. We aim to take the streets and remind everyone that we are traffic.

USC riders meet at Tommy Trojan 6:00pm, Ride at 6:30pm to Metro station at Wilshire and Western.



Westside riders meet at Trader Joe's parking lot at 5:30pm, 10850 National Blvd

ride to LACM at 6pm.



Eastside, Valley and beyond, please use the Metro Gold Line, Blue Line and Red Line to get to the Wilshire and Western Metro station. Yes, you can take your bike on all Metro trains. There is no extra fee either.



Spokecards and stickers will be available for a $1.00 donation. This is to cover costs.
