Bike Oven Bike to Not Work Day

7 a.m to 8 a.m.

If you are riding your bike, pushing your shopping cart full of bottles and cans, taking the bus, driving your hummer, whatever, stop by the Bike Oven at 3706 N. Figueroa Street between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. for free hot chocolate and pan dulce.

One dude from the Oven will be there to help tune up your bike, then he has to leave to go to work while you continue on your Bike to Not Work Day celebration-ing with other Ridazz.

Itâ€™s â€œBike to Work Weekâ€, but bike commuters know that these silly annual events are all about skipping work to get some free schwag and bike tune-ups.

The Bike Oven is going to open its doors early on Thursday, May 15, 2008 to anyone who wants to come and celebrate bikes with a cup of free warm liquid, some unhealthy pastries, and a bunch of neâ€™er do wells on two wheels.

Unlike the official â€œBike to Work Dayâ€ events being put on by the MTA, our Bike to (not) Work Day event will feature numerous unemployed layabouts, students, and (hopefully) a few housewives.
