Ring of Fire is the most challenging course that has ever been laid out for the CBC. Sure, harder ones where I made too many laps would burn up bikes and riders but this course will be an harrowing experience for everyone involved.

It is a loop about 12 miles or so.

The climb is both technical and steep.

Many chances to get very lost.

If you do not listen to instructions you will get lost.

The downhill has several short but very technical sections that would challenge a rider on a modern mountain bike.

If you think you cannot do a feature it will take less time to dismount and walk then to crash and locate all your missing teeth.

Know your limits, tough guys will get lifted out by helicopter. That being said, it is doable.

Once you reach the bottom of the range you will have to follow markings to get to the top of a street and make your way back in traffic thus the split meat pylon rating.
