END LESS: SUMMER

Come celebrate the demise of the sunny season. 

Spend Saturday 9.13.08 – Sunday 9.14.08 camping at the beach with the Ridazz.

We have our own private group campground, just north of County Line, so come out and ride beyond the 310 for an overnight in paradise. 

Scheduled festivities include: evening swimazz, moonlit hiking and a midnight beach party.  And if everyone’s cool with pitching in a few dollars, there will be a keg!

We’ll meet up at noon on Saturday at the Santa Monica Pier cannon.
We'll roll at 12:30pm and bike just over 30 miles on PCH to the campground.
Sunday afternoon, we’ll follow the same route home. 

RSVPs are mandatory.  There’s space for plenty of Ridazz, but the Park Rangers do have a maximum campground capacity.
Once we reach our limit, the list will be capped (and a wait-list created.)
In other words: if you want to go, add your name to the list now.

Gear Transport:
I have a truck to carry your tent and sleeping bag.  Space is extremely limited so please pack very lightly and carry all your personal belongings in a messenger bag or backpack. 

Tent & sleeping bag pick-ups / drop-offs: 
The truck will be at the ride-start Saturday, but we'll also do pick-ups at the VeGaNBaNaNa PeNiS RiDe on Friday and possibly one or two other locations on Thursday evening.

If you can't take your gear home with you on Sunday afternoon, I'll arrange a spot or two for drop-offs the following week.

Food: 
You are responsible for your own food and drinks.  That means dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning.  

Saturday & Sunday Lunch:
We’ll make a lunch stop at mile 22 at How's Market (formerly Trancas Market) & Starbuck’s where you can buy lunch and additional food. There’s absolutely no commerce after that so plan ahead. 

We’ll return the the Trancas How's Market / Starbuck’s on Sunday morning at mile 11 for another lunch stop.

Campsite:
This is a developed campsite with the following amenities: showers (no coins needed!), toilets, sinks, drinking water, fire rings, barbecues, picnic tables and trashcans.

What I’ll bring:
Again, if people are cool with contributing a few dollars each, I’ll provide: a keg, charcoal for the BBQ, firewood for the campfire and coffee in the morning. 

What you should bring:
A bike water bottle or a cup for water, beer or coffee
Something to eat for dinner and breakfast
Swimming gear
Toiletries and a towel for swimming / showering
Clothing for the evening and day two
Anything that'll help bring the F.U.N. (jump-ropes, Frisbees, music, etc.)
John McCain posters (for camp fire fuel)
A tube, patch kit and other emergency repair items
Money for lunch on days one and two

C.R.U.T.C.H. Mob:
Drivers needed.  I could use some additional help in getting tents, sleeping bags and supplies out to the site.  If any injurees are inclined to drive and can carry some cargo, please let me know.

Also, we do have a very limited number of parking spaces available for anyone who’s unable to bike but wants to camp out.  Priority will be given to injurees willing to transport stuff to the site.
