Biking & Building / Summer 2010 Starting on May 19th, 2010 I will set off on a cross country bicycle trip with 31 other young adults. Over the course of 72 days, we will be cycling 3,854 miles from Virginia Beach, VA to Canon Beach, OR. While on the road we will meet with members of the communities we pass through to explain the purpose of our trip and help them become involved in efforts to alleviate the affordable housing problem. In addition to the cycling, there will also be several days where we will trade our bikes for hammers, and help construct homes with local affordable housing organizations.
