The name Cycleway Coffee was inspired by the California Cycleway, an elevated wooden freeway built in the late 1800's by visionary Horace Dobbins. It was intended to connect cyclist's from Pasadena to Downtown Los Angeles. The California Cycleway fell into disuse in the early 1900's with the invention of the automobile. The right of way later became known as the historic 110 freeway. Cycleway coffee is a piece of history. Keeping old school rides a present reality along the arroyo seco.
