I grew up bike riding every sunday with my father & sister along the ballona creek towards Marina Del Rey, where we'd have lunch, and ride back. Since then, I try to incorporate bike riding through my daily routine, such as a quick trip to the store, or doctor's appt. Saves the environment, saves on gas, and gives me the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air.
I feel that if more people rode their bikes (or a bike, at least once), they would be more aware of bikers on the road when they drove their cars. Seems like some drivers out there don't know how to drive, or manuver a turn when they get close to a cyclist riding in the street.
