ORIGINAL CUBLIFE RIDE POST!
The most insane ride I've ever been a part of. 24 hours 168 miles starting at 1am Led by E-Rock, this Cubcamp was our 1st anniversary and we had to go as big as ever. Richie loaded all the riders into The Box (his RV) and we drove 80 miles north to Ventura. At the pier we released them on the most insane night ride ever, going through the Canyons all night, across the valley, to Echo Park at around noon!! Totally nuts, I am so impressed that these Cubbies actually are still alive to tell the story! I designed the spoke card, and I tried to reflect the GIGANTOR nature of the ride. Thus, I made the card a two-parter, one card says "CUB", the other "LIFE". I used a sort of pixelating technique on the words that reads better from a far standpoint, suggesting you would see both cards at once. (I think this is brilliant, man.) Also I took a quote from the Midnight Ridazz forums from all the people who were involved in the ride and placed them lightly in smaller print along the foreground of the card. This was one of my favorite spoke card designs I've done.
