ORIGINAL CUBCAMP RIDE POST!
I led this Cubcamp (#57, April 24, 2008) to Echo Park and Silverlake, manuevering up and down the numerous historic neighborhood staircases! I had been reading Get In The Van by Henry Rollins, and dubbed this ride "The Upward Climb to Subhumanity." At the beginning of the ride I handed out route slips, and asked for each Cubbie to return them to me at the end of the ride. I used them to make the spoke cards for the ride, which I returned to all riders the following week. For the card, I wrote a Get In The Van Henry Rollins quote on the back of the route slip, then tore it into tiny pieces. I laminated the loose pieces and bam!
