Why so late? Also, if everyone had a bicycle flag bent down at a 45 degree it would take very few to occupy the area.

 Well, I was asking the event organizer why this ride would happen so late and not at a time when it would actually be seen by, and interact with, automobile commuters. And in the event posting the organizer questions whether there will be enough participants to claim the space they want to, so I offered a suggestion to take up more space... standard bicycle flags bent down to the side a bit. And I was drunk.
