hey guys I'm sure there's more than a handful of you on this forum who are fascinated by the amount of willpower and training and energy the cyclists in the tour de france put themselves through...!
I don't have TV channels so my only option is to watch these things online, so I made a little blog post to help you guys catch some of the coverage online like I would like to do if I am up early enough for it =)
I know!! THat was ridiculous yesterday on Stage 9....I can't believe Voigler saved it after Flecha hit his back wheel...poor Hoogerland got owned... I hope they beat that driver up afterwards... The rest of the crashes are painful to watch sometimes too...I was looking at their injury lists..and I too have had shoulder/collar bone, wrist, hip, elbow, knee injuries too.. Damn Gotta stay tough and alert!
Poor Johnny Hoogerland... he is about to cry his brains out in the video below while receiving the "competitive award" :(
you could tell he is in physical pain and great emotional distress because he knows the season is probably over for him because he cannot be competitive enough.
He was 5 minutes ahead of the entire pack before the media car hit him.
!@#$?>
FYI: he's going to join the next stage on Tuesday (Stage 10) even though he just got 33 stitches. O_O

Yeah that was intense!! He made it through stage 10 okay, but like you said..he's not going to be competitive and ultimately will lose the polka dot jersey. It was funny and sad to see Mark Cavendish get beat yesterday by Andre Griepel (his former team mate that always was in Cavendish's shadow...) Cavendish is good, but cocky and for that it's funny to watch him lose sometimes...
