No Longer Watch Tosh.0

I for sure will no longer watch the show Tosh.0 after the recent episode showed footage of the tragic accident that happened in Porto Alegre, Brazil's Critical Mass and made fun of the riders. He also said something to the effect of "Haven't you ever wanted to just do that?" Referring to the driver running people over.
I can't find footage of him saying what he did, but here's the link provided on his site:

It's listed under "Car in Bike Race"

Its unfortunate but people whose livelihood depends on fame and relevance thrive on controversy and provocation.

Another victim of the "can't live without car" mentality.
Seems like there are too many that no longer look at an automobile as merely a tool, but now as an extension of their daily lives.
When fuel costs really begin to get to the point where people are squabbling over "bills/food vs everyday speed pleasure", they'll either kick/tone down the habit, or lose their life/mind trying to maintain the everyday urge.

You don't watch TV, so....
He's a 36 yr old, immature comedienne from Florida by way of Germany.
He was the son of a preacher-man!!!!!
His first gigs were modeling shoots and Typhoid Bell commercials.

I avoided watching this clip when it hit the net a few months ago.
Saw it a few hours ago on Tosh.0.
It's a standup comedy show. It's meant to provoke laughter, oftentimes via the dark and offensive. It's not a PBS News Hour or an academic talk amongst winners of MacArthur grants.
I would as shocked if the host / comedian felt this way offstage. What you see on the show is not all that different than an accomplished actor playing the part of a despicable character.
I look forward to the next episode. It's a nice post-Fugitive Ride treat.

Oh, I watch TV. I just don't know too much about any shows that aren't on Adult Swim and/or created by Seth MacFarlane.
Happy birthday, BTW. You don't look a day under 44.5.

Hey Thanks man!!!
And if you didn't already know, that big-company trucking gig happened about 7 months ago.
I will say that I got over that previous debacle as soon as I started taking welding courses.
Nonetheless I only drive the 6-southwestern states, so it's actually a lot better than the Swift-gig I used to cry about.

yeah, i can't seem to find the clip where he rags on the cyclists. it's hard to take him seriously... he's a douche. but then again, he's on a national network and probably does have some influence over other douchbags.

Daniel Tosh openly boasts about his live Twitter feeds during the shows and the displayed clips on his section of ComedyCentral.com.
If anything, start slamming the comments and tweets down like hotcakes all over his channels if you must.
Then there's also the live-tapings that could be infiltrated.

I'm sorry, but that's the nature of the show and the nature of this man's comedy. It's REALLY offensive stuff. It's offensive to minorities, women, people with disabilities, etc. etc. The show is beyond insensitive, love it or hate it. I love it (though we haven't had TV to watch it in ages). I haven't seen either the video of the accident or this episode, but it doesn't sound like it's worth the ruffled feathers. Is this seriously the first time you've ever felt offended by something on the show? Do you only get offended when a joke hits close to home?

Actually, yeah I do get offended when some asshole makes light of and essentially encourages violence towards cyclists.
But I get offended when he says horrible shit about homosexuals, women and other minorities too, so maybe it's just me.

yeah i used to think he was funny, but i'm not a woman, homosexual and i'm only half mexican. if i were one of those things, i would most likely be offended by his jokes.
i am, however, a cyclist and him encouraging violence against cyclists upsets me.
i won't go to protest at his studio, because it wouldn't make any difference. a lot of people don't even watch this show.
i'll just choose to not watch it anymore and let the ratings fall short at least one more viewer.
