What about a superhero ride? I noticed a super villain ride in the pictures area but no superhero ride.

If you have enough zeal to put one on then due et. It's usually recommended that you have help and work with people who have experience putting on a large group MR ride, especially if this is your first time. There are lots of factors to consider. I was even thinking there should be info page about it. Sort of like a check list for new ride leaders. Don't be afraid to ask these questions if you are going to step up. Come out to tonights ride. Hopefully it will be in the numbers of a normal 2nd Friday, but perhaps it will be smaller because of the change - We shall see. It's a thrill to put on a ride just as much as it can sometimes be a pain. Anyone should be able to do it as long as they have some good understandings of what it takes to put one on correctly. Nobody should do it alone without help, in my opinion. You will find that sometimes your rides are better or worse depending on the energy you put into its preparation. Ultimately everyone is responsible for themselves, but your involvement as a ride leader effects the success of the ride to a large degree. This is not Critical Mass.

I've always wanted to put one together, but due to my known schedule of erratic runs of the late night, I'm hindered.
Anywho, I've still wanted to get my Stargate MR-1 Ride put together.
The idea would be to gate to different parts of downtown proper that resemble a particular structure from an episode of SG-1, Atlantis, or the kickass, but soon to be canceled SG-Universe.
Plenty of ridazz still on this site and plenty more off-grid and on the street.
The idea bucket is still quite full.

@Gado, that was more of an idea suggestion, but if it hasn't been done by the time I am ready to run a ride I am so down to do it. and what did you mean by it isn't Critical Mass?
Oh and BTW I will definitely be there tonight.
@bent, dude, I have never been a fan of those shows but that sounds like it could be a real fun ride and you have created a cool idea. I'd be down.

click on ABOUT THE RIDAZZ above and a checklist is there to start a ride.

It would most likely be a few days notice before anything gets rolling, but everything will fall into place.
@zTrip
How could one not like the spinning of the outer ring and the engaging of the 7 Chevrons to dial another set of gate coordinates?

Fill in the dates. We feel like if there is enough time and people can "sign up" for rides months in advance we won't have what almost happened this month, and that is there almost wasn't a ride.

@Zboi
Your comment was kind of open-ended in the sense that you've never watched the Stargate movie or series as opposed to not liking it.
So I'll fill you in.
The Stargate was originally a device designed by the Ancients who seeded them throughout different planets across the known universe.
Their race either ascended or went into hiding for the most part due to an ideological war between themselves and a splinter faction.
Fast-forward hundreds of thousands of years and the Earth stargate is unearthed near Giza Egypt.
In 1996, the device is finally unlocked by one Dr Daniel Jackson who then proceeds with a US Air Force team through the activated stargate and onto the planet Abydos.
The general description of the stargate is that it is 30' in diameter, weighs 20 tons, and has one inner ring that revolve within the master ring. On the outer ring, there are a series of 9 chevron devices that lock onto a particular symbol located on the inner ring.
This is part of dialing sequence initiated by either an indigenous or man-made DHD or dial-home device.
The gate is either powered by an indigenous DHD or by user-provided power sources.
7 chevron addresses are relatively medium powered and can be dialed as needed.
8 and 9 chevron addresses require substantial power loads that have been known to disrupt grid services across the states of Colorado,Utah, Wyoming, and Nevada.
Also, one-way travel is the only travel allowable through the gate that is dialed.
It must be dialed again at the destination to enable return to point of origin.
Someone's probably going to suffocate me for all this technobabble I just listed.

Unless the Sith lords were being cut down by MP5 and FN FAL fire, then that's a dream someone had.
