Probably leave LA june 13 and come back some time in the next week, Schedule is really up in the air since its a 2 week festival we should see which days its best to be up there. We can leave later than the 13th if its better later in the week.

So theres an issue of housing going on and Nicki and i want to take a poll.
originally, thinking it was only going to be the van and rambods car, Nicki was willing to house us all at her apartment.. but anymore than the van&rambod's car is way too much for her apartment [ that alone is almost too much. close quarters. ]
it seems as if theres ryan's RV coming as well, as well as people flying in..
so im going to assume theres going to be at least 20 people on the portland trip this year.
so we're trying to figure out what you guys want to do!
1. we can find a house to temporary rent ala new orleans. this will cost money, probably not a lot, as theres a good chunk of us. this doesn't mean beds, but it does mean a roof and a place to put our stuff.
2. we can camp. keep in mind, this means camping in the rain, where your stuff and your bikes will also be. and probably lack of a bathroom.
3. the van & rambod's car stays at nickis, as originally intended, and the rest of the people stay elsewhere.
1 seems like the best idea, but it'll take effort and i dont know exactly how to go about looking for a place to rent, so help is needed on that front.
to be completely honest, i am against #2, as i personally don't want to be in the rain. & having a proper place to make food to save money sounds ideal.
everyone elses thoughts? volunteers to help?

I think that #1 is completely do-able, as we did it in NOLA and it worked out wonderfully. It's just a matter of finding the house/place, putting down a deposit, and having peeps confirm payment for it... beds are no matter, were CRUSS MOB! + I have a ton of blankets. I'm also assuming it wouldnt be too much money as places up here are cheap and we only paid $75ea in NOLA for a remarkably huge duplex to ourselves.
As for splitting us up... I'm totally against it.. but am down with what works for everyone else.

So I'm going to post a Midnight Ridazz ride on the Pedal Pallooza calendar for Thrus, June 17th (first night available).
I'm messaging you for input on a theme! What theme would represent the Midnight Ridazz best? I have to write a description and would love for yall to be a part of it because WE will be hosting this ride!!

So, I've heard 3 ideas, and they're all mine, so PLEASE someone step up! RIDE IDEAS PEOPLE!!!
1 - MR Fashion Smash - Dress like a model. We'll have runway-like stops. Run the ride back in on itself. Make fun of ourselves.
2 - MR Friends Of The Friendless - its cool, but i want to do FOTF on a separate night, but maybe if no more ideas work better its ok..
3 -MR Balls-Not-Bikes The idea is to have riders enter a "Dare" type of activity they propose they would do - i.e. "I'll lick 12 faces - John" - and whoever is leading the ride can pick one out of a hat, randomly or selectively. Then, the selected act's person does the act - i.e. John licks 12 faces - and then chooses where the ride goes for the hour. John takes us to a fishing spot. Interactive, dorky, provocative, good for locals and out-of-towners. Make Portland Weird.

MR RIDE THEME #4: pLAyland! (a la Alec-style!) This idea is to bring playground handbuilt Alec-style stop activities, that us Ridazz makes the night before the ride! Trick-or-Treat. Kids, tree house, mattress, rope swing, hammock, flags, balloons. Mistletoe. spin the bottle. truth and dare. foodfight, etc. This idea would really allow us as Ridazz to collaborate and bring out some collectively-made and collectively-played creative fun to PDX!
I vote #4. This is my favorite and I dont doubt it being a huge success in Portland! For a costume theme, dress like big kids. Voila!
