Stolen Gary Fisher

2006 Tassajara, black and grey, black bar ends, Forte gel saddle, nice black flat pedals, blue Jando tool bag. It had a Blackburn Mars tail light at the time of theftage.
This happened between 11pm and midnight on Main St at Ashland, in Santa Monica. They cut two cable locks and only took one of the two bikes that were locked up, maybe they figured my cruiser wasn't worthwhile.
Small stickers all over the frame: Bike Attack, USAT, 11th HR. Most recognizable feature is that it has no front derailleur/shifter, it's a 1 by 7 speed. So be on the lookout for a mountain bike w/ only one chainring in the front.

Bike is pictured in an earlier iteration, it now has Forte 26x1.5 slick tires. Avid brake levers, Blackburn rear rack. Only 1 water bottle cage on the seat tube, bike pump holder on downtube.
Santa Monica PD has had an increase in auto burglaries in recent weeks, including 25 thefts of items from inside cars within a 4 hr span one night. I wonder if the same crew is jacking bikes as well. I'm not sure if they were well organized in my case, but I wouldn't be surprised if a van or truck is targeting Main St and Abbott Kinney because of the sheer abundance of bikes. Keep your eyes peeled, and I guess, get U-locks (grr, I can't believe this happened to me).

Heya — do you have a better picture of the bike? I'm guessing no, or it would be up here. What about images of the off-the-shelf bike from the Gary Fisher site (or some other site), plus descriptions of the changes you made to it? If you can send me the right images and text explaining all the other components, I can make a "Stolen Bike" flier.
I just got my bike stolen this week, too. Just got a lead that it might be being sold on Craig's List ... maybe check there. You've probably thought of that. But in case you hadn't ....

HOpefully you will recooperate your bike and maybe those thiefs can get punished.
