I want tough rims.

I will be lacing them to high-flange formulas (32 spoke).

I weigh 200lbs, and don't plan on getting any heavier.

My rear weigh is usually the one that ends up out-of-true. I only had to true my front wheel the one time I had a bad crash.

Any recommendations for a SOLID rim? I heard cxp-22's are pretty tough...but I want opinions from people who ride their asses off...

Oh...and I currently have Jalco Rims...

Suggestions for a good rim tape? Nice Spokes?

A lot of good info... but scroll towards the bottom.

I'm 260 and I ended up going w/ Velocity Deep V's. 3x laced, 36h, w/ 700x28 tires... it's hold me and my music on the rides really well... and I hit a real nasty pot hold and it's still hanging in there. Can't go wrong!

i would say super deep v's with twisted spokes.
twisted spokes can support more impact and pressure due to the fact they are twisted and both support each other instead of just one spoke by itself.

i would say u can go with both of those.

whata hell r they really??

cuz those guys on wheel chairs who play basket ball use to come to my local bike shop to keep replacing their spokes and my friend twited um up and after getting banged up they rarely showed up anymore.

i thought they wer a bit more durable.

if you don't want to fuck around, get TONY Z to make you some wheels. I weigh 220 and used to ride crappy wheels that broke spokes seemingly daily....

I got in touch with Tony and he built a set of wheels about 2 years ago from him that have yet to break a spoke and I'm not even sure if I've ever had to true them. I've snapped a frame in the time I've had them but the wheels are still killing it.
