never start the day with an email response to your boss/Company owner/Sales/Marketing/Engineering Drector's somewhat harshly worded email highlighting all the shortcomings with the results of your last task assignment. Just bite your tongue, slap your hands, and do what he wants. Maybe think about dusting off your resume.
So after a wonderful day at work with an extra hour and a half hold up before I could get out, I jammed to the meet-up spot and arrived just early enough to take a coupla drags off my cig. before the inagural mass rollout, heading east of course, crap. So I took up my tailgater position as I'm inclined to do.
About, what, 30 or 40 of us? Down Victory to Sepulveda to the OL station to greet BigBikeDan who graced us with his presence. On to Ventura Bl. complete with our own squad of Corkers, just like the big time rides. Then we turned east again, away from home, this working class hero was tired. Great ride, stayed in the right lane, polite to all, corked by the squad, waving at the passersby.
As we passed Laurel Cyn, and turned up into some quiet residential streets and got honked at by impatient divers (ahh yes CriticalMass impacts) I asked one of the corkers if he knew where we were headed..."I dunno, NoHo Arts district, I think". About this time I decided to cut out, I could say its because one of my old tired pedal cages finally broke, because its true and did happen, or because I just flat wimped out. whatever.
So I'm sitting there at the Valley College OL station and who do I see? The lousy CritMassers with their smug smiling faces sailing by waving at me. (expletive deleted) No way they they made it to NoHo and back (another colorful phrase escapes) I am a wimp. So I took the OL back to WarnerCenter and cranked my way back to Canoga Park on my busted pedal, really, it broke on me.
I hate mondays, even if they are on tuesdays.

Sounds like a nice ride, dave. Wish I could have been there, but I have class on Tuesday nights.
Damn, the start point is right by my apartment, too.
