I was reflecting on possibly my most favorite movie of all time and just thought of a fun little competition ride..... clusterzz versus clusterzz cannonball run style. 10 ridazz per cluster. the race is to get across the city as a complete cluster in the quickest time posssible. your entire cluster has to cross the finish line in order to complete the race. I'd like to see some head to head with someone in a car to see how much faster one is over the other. I know cars are slower in dense traffic areas but over all city wide it's be interesting to see how much faster/slower a car is compared.

This might be fun, but would need a few more twists to differentiate it from a team time trial through traffic. I guess if the clusters were big enough, that would do the trick. Definitely worth working on.

I don't know, that guy up there wants to do a group race across town. Let's a get a group together and hammer out the details. I really want to do this.

that would be sick actually..... now the nerd in me says let's make this about safety and learning to act as a coherent bicycle cluster... a legitimate part of traffic where there are coordinated riding manuevers and coodinated split second traffici decisions being made.....

urban bike assult did a cannonball run race recently. you could talk to them about how it went if you want to do it again.
