so the test run happened and i heard that it went well and what not.

anybody know whats supposed to happen now?

 It went well considering their very meek advertising and short lead up time to it. There isn't a budget to continue late night service, but the success, particularly in the first couple trains after usual service, shows promise. However, at this point there isn't the money for it without private funding support. Measure R boosted Metro's capitol for projects, but then our state government royally fucked up and decided all state funding support for transit operating expenses was something to cut to balance the budget. So expect sustained service at best and a few bus routes to be cut or reduced at worst. If you think this is beyond retarded, let your state legislators know, and maybe give them a wake up call next election.

 has there been talk of using the lcd panels throughout the stations for ads instead of teh weather?

weather and current news is great but wouldnt ad space bring in some dough?


i also heard that things might start picking up if/after they install turn stiles.
