POTLUCK RIDE OUTTA TOWN - SUNDAY CYCLE SOCIAL

I'm way the F off the radar, but trying to bring some fun to advocate cycling. I'm a student and employee at CSU-Channel Islands and there's an effort by myself and a few other students to kick off a cycling team and bike kitchen that, so far the university has been very supportive of and is on the brink of financing big time. Go figure: Tax dollars ---> bikes.

This would be going quite the distance from LA (about an hour's drive), but there is the opportunity to ride through farmlands, infiltrate super suburbia and plow through a university that has never seen anything like ridazz culture.


Your presence can maximally stoke new peoples to realize ex-cycle-ment.

-casual/crawl pace about 20 miles, almost entirely flat
-loud dress attire - costume it -- the university's mascot is the Dolphin -- i'm going as an aquatic creature
-noisemaking is good
-bbq potluck at park near endpoint

I encourage anyone to carpool--though METROLINK rail does drop you right at the starting point (Camarillo).
