Could Bike Lanes Cause Pollution?

I nominate Rob Anderson, a critical mass hater, for our scourge this christmas!

Anderson maintains a blog in San Francisco and has reader reaction to the WSJ story. He has written in the past that the bike plan is an effort to "screw up" traffic on behalf of cyclists who will always be in the minority.

 what a douche. If it's one thing that would actually do some good right now in 2008 between oil becoming scarce & expensive and our current economic collapse making everyone poor, it's more people riding bikes. Most people are afraid to hop on a bike if they don't have a bike lane or path to feel safe in.
This guy is serving absolutely no purpose besides being a contrarian for fuck's sake.

 He is a douche bag, but before everyone keeps rolling out their assumptions, he does not drive a hummer. In fact he is a regular transit user on the muni and my understanding from his blog is he does not own a car. He apparently has an ax to grind with critical mass, and is taking it out on all who bike in SF, but he is a far more complex foe than some purely hypocritical SUV driver, and I think that has given him some of the traction that he has.
