 I always thought it would be cool to mark out a route for a ride using Toynbee Tile-like messages in the pavement. The problem, of course, would be that if you're riding, you probably wouldn't be able to stop all that easily in the middle of the street to see them. Maybe guerrilla road signage would be the way to go...
