 You can find these for $25-100 at garage sales and thrift stores. Just takes some time and patience. This one is in good shape and has Canti brake great for building something to ride for commuting around the city. This gives you the option of riding with wider tires.

 yaa no.. you should def check some swap meets garage sales and also craigslist.. cause you can get that same bike for like 100 no more then 175..

 It's a mid 80's model. Pretty sweet, cantilever brakes, long wheel base. I would buy it for 275 but I'm a softy for Centurions.

 You CAN do better for the price but it does look to be in pretty good shape so it may be a bit of a bird-in-hand situation. Looks to me like a good bike with plenty of miles left in it.

 the suntour cyclone gruppo was comparable to like, a dura ace gruppo in the 80s. if the gruppo is complete i would buy it.

 $250 is the new $125
Yes you used to be able to find nice 80's bikes for $75-125 on Craigslist and for less on thrift stores but it's not so easy anymore.
But even then you'd end up with bikes that had not been ridden in 15 years and needed $100-$150 in parts.

At Bike Oven , Bike Kitchen etc you can still find decent 80s road bikes for under $200

 the guy lives in ventura county. i might be able to pick it up and drive it down to you. (if you end up buying it) see if you could get some of the price knocked off because of this.

 That's nice steel. And the wheels look to be minimum 36 spokes, so they're tough. Touring bikes rule.
