Just got this email from Ruth Anne (of the SpokenArt Fame) that she posted it on the LA critical mass usergroup.
Hello, I am LAPD Officer Jack Richter, assigned in Central Area-in downtown
Los Angeles. I would like to invite your club to join us on a police
escorted bicycle ride through downtown LA! We will escort your group through the
scenic urban landscape (Staples Center, Lofts, high rises, etc.) as part of our
National Night Our Celebration.
If interested, Please have your helmeted riders report to 1st Street and San
Pedro Street, in Little Tokyo no later than 7:00 PM on:

I'm imagining this scenario where the escorted ride is stopped at an intersection as a huge group of whooping and hollering Ridazz passes by in front of them, making everyone think "I want to ride with them!" The look on their faces is just priceless, in this vision I have in my mind...
