Hey Everyone,
JRow was clipped by a car three weeks ago and when he approached the driver at the intersection, the driver freaked out when he saw JRow's bike pump thinking that he would throw it at him, and in trying to leave the scene, the driver hit JRow a second time, breaking his left arm once again. JRow and the driver had a minor scuffle and was arrested at the scene. He hasn't had proper medical attention since he's been arrested and now needs a proper attorney to defend him and protect his rights.
We all know JRow and know what a stickler he is about lights and riding safety. The driver stated in court that he didn't have any of his lights on and that as he switched over to the left hand line, JRow was swerving all over the road.
So, JRow needs your help! In speaking with legal counsel, this is what you can help out with:
_Character References: Write a well-presented letter explaining your experiences with JRow as a cyclist that can attest to his character. If you wish to write a character reference, please send it as a private message through Facebook and leave a contact number. These are needed before court on May 6. For this one, you're gonna have to leave his grandma out of it!
_People to help testify: Same as the above but he would need you to come to court next week, Wednesday, May 6, in the early morning. Courthouse is in DTLA. If you're willing to testify in court, we need to talk so leave me a contact number on Facebook.
_Medical Bills Fundraising: At this point, JRow will probably need surgery to help with his arm since it's the second time he's broken and the medical attention he's received so far is a sling for the first two nights of his arrest and 12-hour Motrin.
_Attorney Fundraising: He has a public defender who is doing his best to help him out but those guys are so overwhelmed with cases that he could really use a proper attorney who can gather all the necessary evidence he needs to help win his case.
As a side note, people have asked if he's got money in his books. Y'all know how much the boy can eat, so let's feed him!
There are talks of a last-minute fundraiser so we will contact you when & where that will be. Someone threw out the idea of a silent auction, so if you or someone you know has something to contribute, please contact us.
